'orang terlalu pendiam ngan serious sangat'
As cited by Bainbridge (2010), "..an introvert is a person who is energized by being alone and whose energy is drained by being around other people."
"Introverts are more concerned with the inner world of the mind. They enjoy thinking, exploring their thoughts and feelings. They often avoid social situations because being around people drains their energy. This is true even if they have good social skills. After being with people for any length of time, such as at a party, they need time alone to "recharge" (Bainbrigde, 2010).Being alone or quiet doesn't mean one is depressed or anti-social. It's not like we don't engage in conversation, we do. Probably not the kind of conversation that would interest you. Stop making judgements cause there is a reason to everything.
So when you come across someone who just shuts off, let him/her be. Afterall, we need time alone don't we?
Before passing judgements, get to know that person first. For all you know, you might just hurt his/her feelings by passing your judgements.
Actually, I do engage in small talks. But recently, it has been decreasing. Pardon me if you think i'm ignorant or something. I just don't feel comfortable. Just give me more time.
